Innovative Orthodontic Treatments
Our team is dedicated to innovation and advancing our practice with new technologies and knowledge. Here are four technologies we have adopted that have made a significant improvement in our diagnostic accuracy and overall treatment. Here are some of our favourite advanced technologies that have proven successful for our patients.
With In-Ovation® system braces, achieving an attractive, healthy smile has never been easier or more comfortable. Their unique, patient-friendly design means that you have less chair time, reduced discomfort and far fewer appointments than with older style braces. This system even offers the clearest choice in self-ligation with the In-Ovation®C ceramic bracket.
Invisalign™ provides a new and exciting alternative to traditional braces. It involves wearing a series of computer generated clear removable aligners used to straighten your teeth without braces. Adults find this to be an especially attractive option because there are no metal wires or braces to irritate your mouth and most importantly, people can’t tell you are in treatment.
At Palmer Orthodontics, we are pleased to offer our patients the technology of the iTero. The iTero allows us to take digital impressions of the individual characteristics of your tooth surface and gum tissue. Just think, no more messy impression material
This diagnostic procedure is quick and can take precise measurements. Within minutes Dr. Palmer can view the models of your teeth from every angle, zoom in on individual teeth; maximizing his ability to assess and diagnose your treatment course.
Palmer Orthodontics uses digital x-ray machine, to take all patient radiographs in order to obtain the necessary images to properly diagnose and treatment plan your orthodontic case.
Unlike traditional x-ray machines, which require film processing, digital x-rays require 90% less radiation exposure and produce x-rays which are exceptionally clear and detailed. Because there is no film to be processed it eliminates the use of developing chemicals which can be difficult to dispose of due to their impact on the environment.
This allows us to make very accurate diagnosis of your orthodontic needs and ultimately provide you with higher quality treatment, while exposing you to negligible levels of radiation!
