Digital Radiography

Palmer Orthodontics uses a state of the art, digital x-ray machine, to take all patient radiographs. This allows us to achieve the lowest radiation doses possible in order to obtain the necessary images to properly diagnose and treatment plan your orthodontic case.

Unlike traditional x-ray machines, which require film processing, digital x-rays require 90% less radiation exposure and produce x-rays which are exceptionally clear and detailed. Because there is no film to be processed it eliminates the use of developing chemicals which can be difficult to dispose of due to their impact on the environment.

This allows us to make very accurate diagnosis of your orthodontic needs and ultimately provide you with higher quality treatment, while exposing you to negligible levels of radiation!
